the need-to-know

This is everything you're wondering (and a few things you haven't thought of yet). Before we step into your intimacy journey, take a moment to read through my guide. If anything here sparks a question or needs clarity, drop me an email at kimberly@yourintimacymuse.com.

The Intimacy Muse is an open and welcoming space for people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations. I’m here to support you—fully, respectfully, and without judgment—no matter where you are starting from.

How to Say “Hi” (a.k.a. Your Free Discovery Call)

Curious about working together? Your first step is a free 30-minute Discovery Call—but here’s how it works: before we talk, you’ll need to complete my Client Intake Form. Think of it as your backstage pass to more thoughtful conversation.

Once you’ve filled out the form (you’ll find it under the New Clients tab or sprinkled in links across my site), send me an email with “Discovery Call Request” in the subject line. That’s my cue to set up your call—a no-pressure, totally free chat to see if we're a good fit.

Note: I do not book calls without a completed Intake Form and email first. This keeps our initial connection smoother, safer, and far more productive for both of us.

How I WORK (AND WHAT I DON'T DO)

Traditional therapy often approaches sexuality through medical diagnosis or problem-solving. My work? Very different. I coach through conversation, reflection, and guided somatic work, helping you examine how intimacy, boundaries, desire, and self-expression show up in your life.

Sessions may include verbal inquiry, breath work, grounding practices, and—when explicitly agreed upon—consensual, non-sexual touch designed to support regulation, presence, and body awareness. Together, we focus on skills that can be developed over time, including:

  • Unpacking inherited beliefs about intimacy and sexuality

  • Reducing shame and increasing self-confidence

  • Strengthening communication and boundaries

  • Understanding your erotic self as an internal experience, not a performance

Important Clarification:

While my work can involve emotional intimacy and somatic practices that include touch, I do not engage in sexual acts with clients. I do not offer surrogate partner therapy, sexual services, or sexual instruction. Any physical contact is structured, intentional, and focused on awareness and nervous-system support—not sexual interaction. Consent, pacing, and clear boundaries are always established in advance, and touch is never assumed or required. I’m happy to talk through what this looks like during your Discovery Call.

TRY BEFORE YOU COMMIT

If you’re considering coaching, I invite you to begin with a single session. This first meeting is about orientation, not about diving into the deepest layers of your story right away. We'll use this session to:

  • Establish comfort and rapport

  • Clarify goals and boundaries

  • See whether my style of coaching feels supportive for you

Because this work unfolds over time, I ask clients who wish to continue to commit to at least three additional sessions. This allows space for trust, continuity, and meaningful change to develop.

PATIENCE IS PART OF THE PROCESS

Exploring intimacy—emotional, relational, and erotic—can feel vulnerable, unfamiliar, or even awkward at first. That’s normal. You are encouraged to move at your own pace, communicate your boundaries clearly, and allow the work to unfold gradually. My role is to guide and support you—so long as you arrive with curiosity, respect, and openness.

PRIVACY GOES BOTH WAYS

My intention is for you to feel seen, heard, and taken seriously in our work together. I bring my full presence to each session, and I ask for the same consideration in return. Everything you share is treated as confidential. I also ask that my personal privacy and professional boundaries be respected at all times.
